The Business & Technology major infuses technology and analytics into a broad and flexible management education, empowering students to immediately create impact in any industry.
Students select a business concentration in one of five areas — finance, marketing, information systems, economics or international business. Technology training is reinforced through a separate concentration that trains students in highly specialized areas using curriculum outside the business school in a number of fields, from engineering and science to humanities. Examples of the technology concentrations include Computer Science, Biotechnology and Green Technology.
Students complete the B&T major with a thorough understanding of how technology can be leveraged to think differently about problems and opportunities in any industry.
The B&T major is the kind of program that can only exist at a place like Stevens, with its established history of leadership in technical fields like mechanical engineering and computer science. This is a major with lots of freedom and limitless potential: The skills Stevens teaches are excellent training for any discipline. Graduates have brought their knowledge to virtually every industry, from global financial services management to business and technology consulting, and many have pursued entrepreneurial ventures, either at small startups or at businesses of their own design.

Stevens awards several merit scholarships every year to our most outstanding students. You are automatically considered for Stevens merit scholarships when you are admitted; no additional application is needed.
Merit scholarships range between $5,000 and full tuition (scholarships may not exceed the cost of tuition). If you receive a Stevens merit scholarship, it may be renewed every year, for a total of eight full-time undergraduate semesters, as long as you meet all of the renewal requirements.
Global Scholarship
Stevens grants a limited number of Global Scholarships each year to international students for exceptional academic merit. International students who wish to be considered for institutional scholarship must submit the CSS PROFILE on the College Board website. We will notify you if you receive a Global Scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for eight full-time undergraduate semesters as long as you meet satisfactory academic progress.
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
