At Northeastern, a business education integrates the theory and practice of management through active learning, problem-driven research, corporate partnerships, and experiential assignments. As part of the degree program, all students are expected to participate in the co-op program, where they participate in paid work placements related to their field of study.
As your first year draws to a close, you’ll take an important professional step and declare a concentration in at least one of our principal fields of business. A healthcare management and consulting concentration offers you an opportunity to understand how this major sector of the U.S. economy works. You’ll explore how the industry manages problems and opportunities through different business perspectives, preparing you for a career in the healthcare industry that advances the public good.
Growing faster than any other industry, healthcare not only offers you exciting career opportunities, but also serves an important role in society. Working in healthcare requires knowledge and skills in several cutting-edge areas such as service delivery innovation, process and quality improvement, talent management, analytics, and supply chain management. This interdisciplinary concentration provides exposure to several different areas of business important for working in healthcare.
