Become a skillful, well-versed musician with a Bachelor of Arts in Music at CSP. You’ll build the necessary musical skills, both composition and performance, to have a career as a professional musician in any number of settings.
The Music BA at CSP empowers musicians to strive toward concentrated degrees depending on their instrumental and musical interests. Degree tracks include performance, music theory and composition, and music history.
Students who complete the program will be prepared for graduate work in music and employment in musical roles as performers, composers, and private teachers.

Students in the Music program find new inspiration and amplify their creativity, analytical, research, and writing skills while studying music performance, programming, analysis, composition, history, literature, education, and worship music. This all-encompassing approach helps create significant expressions through music.
Your senior presentation engages all of the skills you’ve mastered in the program as you’ll plan, promote, and present a recital of your work. That experience, paired with a relevant internship, ensures that you’re well-equipped for the real world.
The major prepares students for graduate work in music or other fields and employment as entry-level music performers, composers, and private teachers.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
