In the Film Production master of fine arts degree program, students will master the artistic, technical, professional, and academic aspects of filmmaking. The program provides aspiring filmmakers with the advanced creative, technical, and aesthetic knowledge and skills required to produce, crew, and package a professional feature-length or short film. This comprehensive program integrates the study of numerous filmmaking disciplines, including screenwriting, visual storytelling, directing, editing, and producing. Students master these concepts through project-based learning in a program that mirrors the real-world, professional filmmaking environment. Students will also be trained on current filmmaking technologies and will learn how to utilize academic research methodologies in their work. Graduates of the Film Production master of fine arts degree program leave prepared for the professional film industry and are equipped with a range of technical and creative skills needed for career success.

Academic Advantage Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria: Must be a first-time student applying for a Full Sail University campus degree program. Undergraduate applicants must meet one of the following: Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in secondary or postsecondary education (minimum of 30 semester credits). SAT score of 840 or higher. SAT score prior to 2016 of 1120 or higher. ACT score of 17 or higher. Graduate applicants must meet one of the following: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in secondary or postsecondary education (minimum of 30 semester credits). SAT score of 927 or higher. SAT score prior to 2016 of 1250 or higher. ACT score of 19 or higher. For subsequent academic years, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher for undergraduates and 3.0 or higher for graduates at Full Sail University. Application Process: Complete and submit the scholarship application along with required transcripts or test scores prior to the first day of class. Applicants who do not meet first-year eligibility may still apply and be considered for awards in future academic years based on their Full Sail University GPA. Award Determination: Eligibility for the first academic year award is based on high school or postsecondary transcripts, SAT, or ACT scores. Recipients will be notified by the Financial Aid department prior to the beginning of each academic year, provided eligibility requirements are met. Provisions: Scholarship funds are disbursed by semester throughout the student's enrollment at Full Sail University. Funds may only be used toward the tuition of a Full Sail University campus degree program. The scholarship is nontransferable and has no redeemable cash value. The scholarship may be combined with most other Full Sail University scholarships; some restrictions apply. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Academic Advantage Scholarship for eligible campus degree program candidates will vary: Associate degree students may earn up to $5,000 for their first academic year, and a total of $7,500 for all academic years. Bachelor's degree students may earn up to $6,000 for their first academic year, and a total of $15,000 for all academic years. Master's degree students may earn up to $4,000 for their first academic year, and a total of $6,000 for all academic years. |
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
