Our Master of Accountancy program helps you meet the requirements to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Graduates of our Master of Accountancy program consistently perform above the national average for passing the CPA exam and our graduates usually post pass rates that are among the top rates of any program in the state of Ohio.
Program Outcomes
If you complete the program, you will graduate with a Master of Accountancy degree. You will have a broad educational experience for completing professional accounting exams such as the Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Management Accountant exams, as well as meet the requirements to take the CPA exam. This program also provides an excellent background for students interested in pursuing a law degree in the future.

Scholarships
Graduate International Alumni Scholarship
A $10,000 annual scholarship for full-time enrollment will be awarded for F-1 and J-1 international students who have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at Wright State and would like to enroll for a second degree. Students will need to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of admission to be eligible. The scholarship is renewable for 4 semesters so long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship cannot be combined with any other Wright State funded scholarships.
Scholarship Details
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
