Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology

Program Overview

National Louis University's Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the Florida School of Professional Psychology will introduce you to basic clinical skills that enable you to serve the mental health needs of diverse client populations. The program is designed to meet the needs of both those continuing on to a doctoral program and those seeking a terminal Master’s degree. The theoretical and clinical knowledge learned in the program can be applied to independent practice under certain conditions.

Program Highlights

Clinical Experience

  • Refine your skills in a real-world setting with a year of supervised clinical experience through our Diagnostic Practicum and Seminar. You’ll focus on clinical assessment techniques and issues, as well as diagnostic formulation. Once per week, you’ll also meet in a seminar run by a faculty member to further develop your interviewing and diagnostic skills.

Expert Faculty

  • Learn from professors who bring years of clinical experience to the classroom and who are active researchers in the field. Our faculty consistently update their courses and assignments so that you’ll be learning the most current best practices in the discipline.

Career Preparation

  • Jumpstart your career with career planning services that are integrated into the program. Whether you want to continue on to doctoral-level work or enter the job market after graduation, personalized advising, planning and frequent group discussions will help you hone your interests and connect you to the right career path.
