The Master of Science (M.S.) in Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship graduate program prepares you to create your own entrepreneurial business opportunities or innovate from within an organization as a corporate entrepreneur. Focusing on women’s entrepreneurship, you’ll learn human-centered approaches to innovation that will encourage you to develop a deep understanding of users, think broadly about problems, and recognize the value in the contributions of others. You’ll cultivate your own unique leadership style and learn how to overcome barriers facing women entrepreneurs today, such as earning funding from investors. Additionally, you’ll grow your business network in Chicago, a city with the highest concentration of women-owned startups and women-focused investors in the country.

Women’s entrepreneurship has grown nationally for over two decades, with the growth of women-owned businesses more than doubling the overall growth rate for all businesses. The World Economic Forum’s 2018 Future of Jobs Report identified the top emerging skills for 2022 to include creativity and innovation, analytical thinking, complex problem solving, ideation, and active learning, all of which are skills that can be gained through the process of design thinking.

National Louis University International Opportunity scholarships
All international students admitted to a National Louis University Bachelor's degree program will receive an annual, renewable scholarship equal to 10% of the full-time tuition rate (valued up to $7,599* ).

Application Process
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
