Early Childhood educators have the opportunity shape the future. Are you ready to provide young learners with a foundation for life-long success?
The Early Childhood Education M.A.T. is for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in any area and seek initial licensure to teach young children (birth – grade 2) in the state of Illinois.
Our program will prepare you to optimize student learning in early childhood settings. As a graduate student, you will learn how to create engaging and effective classroom environments that nurture and guide young children during a critical period when 90% of brain development occurs.
Typically completed in two years, the program’s coursework and state exams leads to eligibility for Illinois Professional Educator License endorsed for early childhood and self-contained general education (birth to grade 2).
