What Can You Do with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism?
At Webster, we’re preparing journalists who work in a wide range of media — from podcasts and television to social media, radio and print. You’ll take lab courses alongside your lessons to learn how to apply the latest theories and methods in reporting to the real world.
Many Webster are employed in full-time newsroom positions after graduation. They work as reporters, editors and producers in many St. Louis newsrooms, including:
University is offering a 25% scholarship for transfer students applying for the Spring 2025 intake. This scholarship is available for students with a GPA of 3.5 and above, for applications submitted between December 17th, 2024, and January 13th, 2025.
The scholarship will provide a discount of USD 6,768 off the total program fee of USD 27,072. As a result, the net cost for eligible students will be USD 20,304 for the entire program.
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
