The Master of Science in Accounting Data & Analytics (MSADA) bridges advanced accounting concepts with data analytics, and will equip students with essential skills and knowledge to compete in the evolving realities of the profession. The MSADA develops students’ understanding of accounting and analytics’ concepts beyond theory through practical application positioning students to become leaders in their field. Students will explore the use of innovative technologies and business automation processes to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies to drive better decision-making.
The MSADA offers concentrations in CPA applied accounting, advanced analytics for accountants, essentials of leadership, or taxation. The Advanced Analytics for Accountants Concentration is a STEM-designated degree program.
Plus, graduate certificates are available in Accounting Data & Analytics, Accounting Foundations, Advanced and Automation for Accountants, and CPA Applied Accounting.
The MSADA program provides academic credit that may be used to meet the education requirement for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure. The Concentration in CPA Applied Accounting offers live instruction and a structured, supportive environment to study for the CPA exam. International President’s Scholarship Criteria: Must be an international student entering the U.S. on an F-1 visa and admitted to a master’s program in the School of Business, Accounting, or Braden School of Tax. Award is distributed evenly over the degree’s required units. Cannot be combined with other GGU scholarships. Must maintain satisfactory academic progress. International Dean’s Scholarship Criteria: Same as the President’s Scholarship – F-1 visa status and admission to a qualifying master’s program. Distributed over the full course duration. Not combinable with other GGU financial aid. International Welcome Grant Criteria: Must be enrolled full-time in the first term. Not renewable. Cannot be used alongside other GGU scholarships. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
