As a dentist, you have the power to restore and promote patients’ oral health. This program allows you to begin your education focused on your career goals, so you’ll be well prepared to start treating patients on the first day of your new career.
In this professional pathway, you have the opportunity to earn a combined Bachelor of Science in Premedical Health Studies from MCPHS and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida, in eight years. During four years at MCPHS, you’ll receive a challenging baccalaureate curriculum that prepares you for professional study. Upon graduation from MCPHS, you’ll spend four years at LECOM to complete the professional education required for the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Note:- The MCPHS University - Boston Campus has made certain changes in its admission process due to the COVID Pandemic.
They are adapting new measures during this tough time and hence, some changes have been made. The University is willing to accept the Duolingo English test as the proof of English language proficiency. The minimum acceptance score will be 105.
Scholarships and Grants
Scholarships and grants are also known as gift aid. This is money that does not need to be repaid. While scholarships can be merit-based or from an outside organization, grants are generally need-based and are calculated based on the information that you submitted on the FAFSA
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
