Computer Engineering is the application of technology in the synthesis of systems for control, computation and communication. This program focuses on the design, analysis, and application of computers and on their applications as components of systems.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program emphasizes problem-solving skills borne of understanding systems and their applications. Our course of study provides a thorough overview of computer engineering theory, as well as excellent training for future engineers.
This undergraduate program also builds a strong foundation for studies at the graduate level. Those who successfully complete the B.S. in Computer Engineering will be well-prepared to pursue Atlantis University’s Master of Science. There is also an option to combine both undergraduate and graduate academic paths for an expedited entry into the professional realm.
The Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering/Concentration in Artificial Intelligence provides students with the ability to apply the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and design smart agents to solve real-world problems, including search, gaming, machine learning, logic, and constraint satisfaction problems.
Those who complete this program will have a thorough grounding in the practices of computer engineering and the scientific and mathematical principles upon which they are built. Graduates who choose to pursue a career in industry, government, or academia will become successful engineers, scientists, or educators who demonstrate strong leadership, technical, and team skills; and a commitment to continuing professional development.
What you’ll learn

The program emphasizes on problem solving and provides a strong background for future engineers. Innovative computer engineers focus on making computing systems safer, faster and more powerful. Computer engineers develop new computer hardware, design and implement software applications, and enhance the capabilities of networks and communications systems. Hardware focuses on computer systems and components, the design of microprocessors, circuit boards, routers and other embedded devices. Software, on the other side, creates, tests and debugs programs and applications that run on computers, mobile devices and more. Throughout this program at Atlantis University, the student combines theory and training with hardware and software to ensure that they are seamlessly integrated, and that they function properly.

Scholarships are a form of educational funding and are considered gifts; therefore, they do not need to be paid back. Scholarship eligibility may be based on degree program, field of study, or a combination of factors. Scholarships can be used to pay for education expenses including such school charges as tuition, room and board, fees, books, supplies, equipment, dependent child care expenses, transportation, and rental or purchase of a personal computer.
Atlantis University offers scholarships to new students who enroll by the deadline, complete a specified number of courses, and maintain good academic standing. Late applications will not be accepted. New and recurring students may apply for only one of the scholarships listed below.
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
