The two-year MSc in Chinese-English Translating at Heriot-Watt University provides students with in-depth training in the skills and techniques used by professional translators, with additional time built in to develop greater language abilities and deeper intercultural understanding.
Studying a masters degree in translation at Heriot-Watt allows you to immerse yourself in a new culture and lift your language and IT literacy to a higher standard, helping you become an informed and knowledgeable professional translator.
With an entry requirement of 6.0 IELTS overall, this degree allows you to begin from a less advanced position than the one-year degree, but also benefit from an extra year of high-quality learning, which will both significantly improve your language ability and equip you with key professional skills.
