Careers / Further study

• Building Surveying encompasses a wide range of activities related to design, construction and property management. Whilst emphasis is often on existing buildings, building surveyors are involved in all aspects of buildings, from conception, feasibility, design and construction to their strategic and tactical management, repair refurbishment, conversion and conservation.
• Both routes of study that UWE Bristol provides are regarded highly by existing and potential employers, and our employability record is excellent. Our graduates often go straight into employment, or use their newfound skills and knowledge to enhance their current roles or to move into management positions with existing employers.

Fieldwork

• This course includes a range of lectures from visiting practicing professionals and the RICS Regional Training Adviser and also visits to appropriate construction sites and other relevant locations to enhance the learning experience.

Scholarships

We are happy to announce the following scholarships for the students:

• UG Year 1: £2000
• PG and Advanced Entry: £1500

Conditions: Payment must be received between 23rd July and 2nd August and must be reflected in the university accounts. Additionally, students must formally request the scholarship via email to [email protected] no later than 2nd August. Requests received after this date will not be considered.

The email request must include the student's ID, payment receipt information, email address, and contact number.

Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea. 
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business. 
Tier 5 Youth Mobility is for individuals of certain countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and New Zealand aged between 18 -30 who wish to move to the UK. 
Tier 5 GAE is for individuals who want to come to the UK for work experience, training, research or a fellowship. 
UK Ancestry is for individuals who are a citizen of a commonwealth and plan to work in the UK and have a grandparent who was born in the UK.
