Program Overview

This program is designed for students who already have an Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma. You'll be credited for courses you completed in the ECE program, allowing you to enter Year 3 of this four-year honours degree. Study part-time or full-time, and all core courses are taught online for convenience and flexibility. In-person delivery options may be available based on enrolment.

Internship

This program includes a mandatory internship for all students during the spring/summer semester (May–August) between Year 3 and Year 4. Students with commensurate leadership work experience can apply for a Prior Learning Assessment Review (PLAR) to determine if they might be exempt from this internship requirement.

Internships are a form of work-integrated learning that links classroom learning with work experience within a professional environment. Internship work terms are related to the academic studies of the student and may be paid or unpaid. Work terms provide an opportunity for students to learn by doing, to apply theory to practice, and to develop a meaningful view of the working world as they cultivate an awareness of themselves as professionals.

Scholarships

International Entrance Scholarship

All new international students beginning their full-time postsecondary studies at Sheridan in the Winter 2026 or Spring 2026 semesters will receive an entrance scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.
You will be notified of your exact scholarship amount with your Letter of Acceptance. These funds will be automatically added to your account. You must remain full-time in the semester for the installment to be issued for that semester.

Student Visa For Canada

Any student who wishes to study in Canada requires a student visa. Some of the essential information for the application process is given below.

When Should I Apply?

Ideally, one should apply for the study permit at least 4 to 6 months before the commencement of your course/program.
