Program Overview

Sheridan's Journalism program has helped countless storytellers launch their journeys into the world of media. In this program, you'll learn how to tell stories on a variety of platforms, preparing you for career opportunities in digital media, broadcast, television, public relations, marketing, graphics, editing, writing, reporting and more.

Get the hands-on experience you need to launch your journalism career
Working in our state-of-the-art HD-TV news studio, you'll broadcast live college-wide and stream online. You'll also write news, shoot photos and create videos and interactive features for the Sheridan Sun news website, TV and radio. In your final semester, you'll apply what you've learned in a field placement at a Canadian broadcaster (TV or radio), website, newspaper or magazine.

Learn from instructors with professional storytelling experience
All faculty in Sheridan’s Journalism program come to our classroom with recent industry experience. They’re writers, journalists, reporters, directors, TV hosts and more — our faculty have what it takes to help you succeed in any journalism stream you see yourself in.
