If you fall into any of the above categories, choosing the postgraduate pathway at Anglia Ruskin University College is the right decision.
The Pre-Master’s pathway will prepare you for future postgraduate studies by giving you confidence and expertise in areas relevant to your taught Master’s degree. You will:
Pre-Master's (Stage 1)
The Pre-Master’s course is Stage 1 of the postgraduate pathway, it has been designed to prepare students who have not qualified for direct entry to Anglia Ruskin University College Master’s degrees, for postgraduate level studies.
Undertaking a Pre-Master’s course will provide you with the time to adjust to the rigorous research and independent study requirements of postgraduate studies and prepare you to get the most out of your postgraduate study at Anglia Ruskin University College.
Master's (Stage 2)
The Master’s (Stage 2) offers students the chance to build on what they have learned during the Pre-Master’s and extend their professional understanding about their relevant area of study. A taught Master’s degree usually consists of a series of specialist modules in structured class, seminar or tutorial formats. A research thesis component may be included, but is much shorter than what is required for a Master’s degree by research. However, most taught masters’ degrees will have a final major project or dissertation component. The Master’s (Stage 2) is delivered by Anglia Ruskin University College
Master of Business Administration
You know what you don't want: your performance measured by exams; assignments that have no meaning in the real world; feeling that you don't belong. Knowing this is the first step. The next one is talking to us, and finding out how we do things differently here.
Our International Business School is a destination for practitioners like you from around the world. We offer a diverse classroom that brings global business into local focus. Using active learning, you'll be exposed to alternative business practices first-hand that put your communication, critical analysis and decision making skills to the test.
Studying your Master of Business Administration MBA in Cambridge offers more than an exceptional academic reputation. It means doing business in a city of rapid growth with a thriving economy. Cambridge has a culture of innovation and is known globally as a destination for tech and biotech companies that are based here. We make sure that you'll benefit from this unique environment by forging strong links with local businesses.
At ARU, we have state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, study areas, campus libraries with online databases containing professional journals, plus our CANVAS learning management to access study resources and help.
MSC Cyber Security
Cyber security is a priority for governments and organisations throughout the world. We’ll work together to explore how organisations and individuals can take action to protect themselves online from cyber-attacks.
We’ll begin by understanding networks and operating systems, how they work and the strengths and weaknesses of them. You’ll then think like a hacker, working from the inside out, as you recognise the threats to an organisation and its resources, and learn to implement and test secure systems.
Focusing on the strategic deployment and implementation of cyber security within an organisation, you’ll cover all aspects of cyber security including network security, computer security and information security.
You’ll apply your knowledge and skills hands-on in a real-life context, in our specialised lab, which is already equipped with tools such as Kali LInux, Wireshark, Nmap and Burp Suite. You’ll write your own Metasploit modules, automate social-engineering attacks, bypass antivirus software and turn access to one machine as you take total control of the enterprise.
You’ll gain skills in communicating information to higher levels of the corporation’s managers, giving you confidence to present your invaluable problem solving solutions and strategic security planning in any organisation.
We know there’s a worldwide shortage of skills graduates in cyber security, so you’ll be ahead of the game as you further your career and make a real impact on a society that is increasingly dependent on the internet and IT technology.
