Careers

• Sports therapy professionals are increasingly in demand. They can work for sports teams or organisations or be self-employed, with an increasing number of graduates taking positions within the NHS supporting physiotherapists.
• You could pursue a career in a sports medicine team, supporting professional players back from injury. Or you might choose to work with the increasing number of 'weekend warriors' and recreational athletes, who also need support to recover from injury. Alternatively, you could focus on working with the wider community – perhaps those who are inactive or older and need assistance to get back to functional fitness.
• Whichever path you follow, you can be sure you’re graduating with the knowledge, skills and abilities that employers need. The Society of Sports Therapists help us review what we teach and how we teach it – and they offer hands-on, practical opportunities to learn through work-based projects, internships or placements.
• While you're studying at ARU, we'll encourage you to make connections with industry. We have links with a range of sporting organisations, such as:

• When you first register as a student, you'll become a student member of The Society of Sports Therapists, which provides guidance and advice for the profession. Our course will also signpost opportunities to gain wider qualifications, such as CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activit) courses, to strengthen your CV.

Navitas family bursaries
Value

The bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for up to 8 units of study within one program only with a Navitas member institution. The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken and excludes mixed English options. For more Information Click Here

Eligibility

• The Family Bursary applies where two or more students from the same family* study at a Navitas institution. The first family member can be studying at a Navitas institution at the same time as the other family members or may have studied at any Navitas institution previously.
• The family bursary is granted to the second and subsequent family members who study at a Navitas institution.
• The bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for one program only with a Navitas member institution. The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken.
• For Diploma students, the bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fees for the first attempt at units in the program of study† (excluding mixed English option).
• For Certificate students, the bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for the first attempt at units in the program of study (excluding mixed English options).
• Students must pay the full amount for half their course as shown on their Letter of Offer in order to confirm their place at the Navitas Institution to which they have applied. If the student remains enrolled at the institution, at the end of the week 4 of their first semester, 10% of their tuition fee paid will be credited to the student. The balance of the bursary is credited to the eligible students’s tuition account in the second and subsequent semesters. (The amount credited will be calculated on the actual number of units studied).
• The maximum value of the family bursary is 10% of the tuition fees for the first attempt of units in the program of study regardless of the number of family members who have studied with Navitas institutions.
• A completed application must be submitted to the Navitas institution together with supporting documents such as a birth certificate or family card.
• The General Manager or the Director Finance Administration will approve the award of a family bursary and authorise the accountant to process the relevant adjustments.

Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea. 
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business. 
Tier 5 Youth Mobility is for individuals of certain countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and New Zealand aged between 18 -30 who wish to move to the UK. 
Tier 5 GAE is for individuals who want to come to the UK for work experience, training, research or a fellowship. 
UK Ancestry is for individuals who are a citizen of a commonwealth and plan to work in the UK and have a grandparent who was born in the UK.
