From small law firms to the United Nations International Court of Justice, the legal profession shapes every aspect of our society, politics and economics.
Law regulates how we buy and sell goods and services, and how we govern ourselves. It defines how we prosecute and defend, and how we secure the rights of people who may not be able to protect themselves. All of Swansea's Bachelor of Law (LLB) courses are qualifying law degrees.
Successful completion of this pathway will lead to Law with Criminology, LLB (Hons) from Swansea University.
Law with Criminology, LLB (Hons)
This qualifying law degree brings together Law and Criminology, giving you the opportunity to combine an interest in criminality and criminal policy with in-depth coverage of the law of England and Wales.
The program is designed to cover foundational subjects in each discipline in the first and second year, allowing you a wide choice of optional study in the final year.
You will gain a comprehensive grounding in the areas covered by a qualifying law degree; Contract Law, Criminal Law, Land Law, Equity and Trusts, EU Law, Law of Tort and Public Law.
Alongside this, you will study core concepts in the field of criminology, the most important theories of crime and deviance and their relevance to contemporary criminal justice policy, research and practice.
Through your undergraduate Law with Criminology degree, you will develop excellent research and analytical skills and learn to present your ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.
