The Undergraduate Foundation Program in Business, Economics, Accounting & Real Estate will prepare you for undergraduate study in a related field at Aberdeen. Equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish degree, our pathway Program gives you the start you need to graduate in the same amount of time as a domestic student.
What will I study?
This three-term Program has been designed to complement your university studies by introducing you to the learning culture of Aberdeen, all whilst helping you settle into life in the UK. You will study a range of modules, both academic and language based, to gain the skills you need for academic success at university.
After completing your Undergraduate Foundation Program and achieving the necessary grades, you can transition to the second year of your chosen undergraduate degree. Undergraduate degrees at the University of Aberdeen are referred to as Masters of Arts, or MA degrees. A Scottish MA is equivalent to an undergraduate degree. By completing this pathway, you will be able to progress to the degrees.
Accountancy
Accountancy at Aberdeen gives you a thorough grounding in theory, practice and business skills, taught by experts in accounting practice, with the advantage of real-life employers and scenarios integrated into your program.
You will gain a path to professional accreditation, and the skills, experience and attributes to give you a head start whether you aim for chartered accountancy or another option in the fast-moving world of business and finance.

There are various options through which a student can get a post study work visa in the UK.
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa for the graduates with a genuine and credible business idea.
Tier 2 (General) is the leading immigration visa to work in the UK.
Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who have completed their Ph.D. and is valid for 12 months for them to work, look for work or set up a business.
Tier 5 Youth Mobility is for individuals of certain countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and New Zealand aged between 18 -30 who wish to move to the UK.
Tier 5 GAE is for individuals who want to come to the UK for work experience, training, research or a fellowship.
