Bachelor of Journalism with Concentration in Health Sciences

Program Overview

Journalists are the eyes, ears and voices for their communities and the country. And the journalism skills that make you a good storyteller are in high demand in every workplace, not just in the news media. Journalists ask the important questions, report what they see and hear, and offer analysis of the changes and issues that shape our society.
Journalists should be well educated, thoughtful, analytical, conscious of the responsibility that comes with their job and equipped with a moral compass to guide their decisions.

Gain Practical Experience
Our reputation is built on high-calibre professional training and academic instruction. Our program is designed so students take courses outside of Journalism and pursue a second major in another field. Develop your journalism and storytelling skills in dynamic hands-on workshops, focusing on high-quality work delivered via text, audio, video and various digital media. Take specialized journalism courses from business to the arts, politics to health science.
In partnership with the Faculty of Science, Carleton offers a Bachelor of Journalism with a concentration in Health Sciences. Carleton also offers a Bachelor of Journalism and Humanities degree.
