Humber’s Mechanical Technician-Millwright diploma program provides an in-depth study of mechanical systems, industrial automation and advanced manufacturing technologies. Building on the foundation established in the Mechanical Techniques – Millwright certificate program, this two-year diploma emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and applied technical skills aligned with Ontario’s trade and industry standards.
Students gain comprehensive experience through courses in engineering drawings, CAD data and Layout Process; Metallurgy; Electric and Electronic Controls; CNC Turning; Applied Trade Calculations; Power Transmission; and workshop practices. The curriculum culminates with a Capstone Project, where students apply engineering principles and technical problem-solving to real-world industrial challenges. Delivered by industry-experienced faculty, the program focuses on precision, systems integration and emerging technologies that drive modern manufacturing.
