Program Overview

The International Foundation Year is for international students who want a well-rounded, supportive introduction to an undergraduate degree at Kingston University, London. It is offered by Study Group at the International Study Centre, taught in three interesting subject pathways. This program will help you transition into a university lifestyle and ensure your success while studying abroad.

The International Foundation Year is made up of several cores and route-specific modules that will better your understanding of your chosen subject area. Depending on your choice of pathway, you can cater your modules to benefit your future career path. The course will also incorporate English language tuition, which will be focused on improving your speaking, writing and academic language skills, and prepare you for learning in a second language.

Business, Management and Law
Our Business, Management and Law programme will prepare you for a degree in Business, across a range of areas including Business Economics, Accounting, Law and Marketing and Advertising. Many of the progression degrees include work placements and the opportunity to study abroad, for the same fee as a traditional degree.

Law with professional experience
We recognise that in the competitive legal world, graduates need to be more rounded than ever. Our LLB with Professional Experience delivers all the benefits of a conventional Law degree, and a lot more.

If you are considering a legal career, this course is ideal. It gives you a foundation in the English legal system and legal method. It also offers hands-on experience and prepares you to progress to the vocational stage of legal training.

Over the course of this degree, you may lead mock trials and cross-examine forensic experts and witnesses in court. You might work alongside a solicitor at our Legal Advice Centre, giving legal advice in domestic and consumer disputes.

You'll graduate with legal knowledge, applied skills, and relevant work experience that is highly valued by employers. To help you secure a job after you graduate, this degree offers valuable experience, such as a professional internship in a law firm or in a law related field.
