Program Overview

The construction industry is at a turning point, shaped by new technologies, sustainability demands, and shifting workforce expectations.  

The Master of Construction Management (MCM) program at George Brown Polytechnic is designed to meet this moment, equipping construction professionals with the strategic leadership, management, and technical acumen needed to guide organizations into the future. 

This one-year, three-semester, course-based master’s degree combines systems thinking, organizational leadership, construction technology, data analytics, and business strategy, empowering graduates to lead with confidence and adaptability in an evolving industry. 

Students will develop set of knowledge and skills in human behaviour, leading construction organizations, negotiation, cultivating long-term relationships, systems thinking, project forensics, construction claims, enterprise strategic management, and corporate social responsibility.  

This complementary combination of knowledge and skills will enable graduates from the degree to address challenges that are unique to construction organizations, lead construction business transformation, and develop strategies for adapting to the future demands of the Canadian construction industry.
