Program Overview
This dynamic course will challenge you to develop all the skills you need for a career in air travel, tourism and airport management. From foundation year to your final year, you will gain insight into a range of topics such as airport operations, security, safety and risk management, sustainable development, changing consumer behaviour, international standards and impact of emerging markets.
- You’ll develop your management expertise, resilience and people skills, and explore management on regional, national and international scales – becoming proficient in all aspects of this complex profession.
- Taught by experts with ongoing research and strong ties to the industry, including local players such as Cunard and Carnival, you will also be able to benefit from a programme of guest lectures from key players in the industry – informing your learning with the latest debates and best practice, and providing the opportunity to apply your knowledge to practical challenges.
- And a wide range of embedded field trips including local sites and international destinations such as Bruges, Athens or Belfast – as well as the option to undertake a year’s study abroad – you’ll build a globalised understanding of the fascinating tourism industry and air travel’s critical role.
