Program Overview

Digital marketing is a fast-growing, exciting and expanding field in modern marketing, encompassing a range of interdisciplinary fields including advertising and public relations. Leading on the creation and execution of a digital marketing strategy, the digital marketer identifies and responds to business opportunities and customer need through the relevant digital channels.

Drawing on content marketing and campaign management principles, as well as financial and analytical tools, the digital marketer delivers successful initiatives that meet the needs and aspirations of their organisation.
This degree apprenticeship gives you the skills and professional habits you need to develop your career at the cutting edge of modern marketing, building relevant experience through work-based learning, as well as skills in strategy, research, analytics, development of integrated campaigns and content creation through paid, earned, shared and owned media.
And as an apprentice you will be paid throughout the course, earning while you learn – while successful completion of the degree can also make you eligible for professional registration at associate grade with either the Chartered Institute of Marketing or Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.
By blending academic study and industry practice, you will gain valuable work experience and get paid while you study. The course is aligned with professional bodies and you have the opportunity to gain additional certification throughout the course, including optional accreditation in Google Analytics.

As an apprenticeship, this programme combines workplace learning and university tuition to provide a fusion of practice and academic study.
The course is delivered in lectures, seminars and workshops, as well as through distance learning, with 20% of your working week set aside for off the job learning – including time at university and independent study. You will be supported by your workplace supervisor/mentor and your course leader.
