Master of Science in Engineering - Biomedical Engineering (STEM)

Program Overview

The four major areas comprising biomedical engineering are bioinstrumentation, biomechanics, biotransport phenomena, and tissue. Solutions to problems in each of these areas and to more complex problems involving all of these areas require intensive application of mathematics and computational tools. The M.S.E. program in biomedical engineering provides qualified students the opportunity to pursue advanced study in these four areas.

The academic program requires a total of 30 semester credit hours of graduate coursework. In order to provide appropriate depth within the field of study, six courses in biomedical engineering subjects are also required. The elective 12 hours required for graduation should be taken from the MSE degree programs offered within the School of Engineering.
