Certificate in Construction Techniques

Program Overview

Build a rewarding career in commercial or industrial construction sectors.

Program Overview

Gain practical skills in four high-demand trades
Sheridan’s one-year Construction Techniques program offers hands-on training in four in-demand trades: carpentry, welding, millwright and plumbing. You will gain essential industry safety certifications and apply your knowledge in specialized labs and workshops, working on projects such as construction framing, plumbing installations and gearbox assemblies.

Balance work and training with Sheridan’s condensed program delivery
The program features a condensed schedule over three consecutive days, including weekends. This structure allows you to focus on your training while keeping the flexibility to work up to four days a week. With this efficient delivery, you can gain valuable trades skills without sacrificing income or work experience.

Enhance your training with Micro-Credentials
Unlike other programs in this field, at Sheridan, there are parallel micro-credentials that are recognized for each seven-week trade block of study. If you complete one, two or three trades blocks and decide to leave, you’ll still earn micro-credentials for each completed trade.
