Program Overview

The Foundation Studies program is equivalent to Year 12 and prepares you for entry into first year degree studies.

Course Structure
In your Foundation Studies program, you’ll study four subjects in each of your two trimesters. You’ll also undertake independent learning to develop learning and research skills to prepare you for university.

Leading to: Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Health Sciences

Co-designed with industry leaders, our double degree prepares you to solve key healthcare, business and economic challenges in a responsible and sustainable manner. You'll understand how to independently research, think innovatively and use digital technologies to effectively identify and execute managerial and policy solutions.

By completing La Trobe's Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Health Sciences, you will:

• analyse the complex challenges confronting business and society, as well as emerging developments in the field of health sciences
• develop cultural intelligence, leadership skills, stakeholder negotiation and communication skills that help you to thrive in any work environment
• be ready to meet the challenges of automation, AI-driven technologies and big data
• choose from a range of majors and minors to build a unique set of multidisciplinary skills
