The Foundation Studies program is equivalent to Year 12 and prepares you for entry into first year degree studies.

Course Structure
In your Foundation Studies program, you’ll study four subjects in each of your two trimesters. You’ll also undertake independent learning to develop learning and research skills to prepare you for university.

Major: Italian Studies

Build your communication skills in Italian, and learn about one of the world's major cultures.

In this major, you'll develop beginner level oral, reading, writing and listening skills in Italian. You'll learn how to analyse films, literature, popular culture, historical events and media, while exploring Italian language, culture and history. You'll also be encouraged to apply for in-country study programs in Italy during your degree.

An International Studies major will provide you with the knowledge required to tackle major global challenges, including climate change, war, terrorism, poverty, and inequality. It will also help you understand cultural and political differences and similarities across the world, which is crucial to working effectively internationally. When you complete this major, you’ll have the skills and knowledge required to establish a career dealing with international issues or working internationally.
