In this program you will:
Ecology is the study of the relationships and interactions between living organisms, including plants, animals, and humans, and their environment. Ecologists investigate how these organisms interact with each other and their surroundings, and work to understand and protect our planet's ecosystems, striving to maintain biodiversity and ecosystem health.
By analysing the impact of human activities on natural systems, ecologists develop sustainable solutions to environmental challenges, aiming to balance human needs with the preservation of nature.
In this major you will have the unique opportunity to study amongst 3 UNESCO Biospheres and the World Heritage Listed K'gari, as you develop analytical and research skills to contribute to the development of policy in the areas of conservation, environmental protection, agriculture and fisheries.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
