Program Overview
Vaughn’s mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree program provides students with a strong foundation in engineering analysis and design. In addition, students will have the hands-on opportunity to learn analytical, computational and experimental methods of mechanical engineering, which are in high demand in the industry today.
The mechanical engineering program introduces students to the reliability and safety analysis of mechanical engineering. The strong focus on the design process in the curriculum is to train well-qualified graduates who will be ready for positions in a variety of engineering industries. The mechanical engineering curriculum includes training in mechanical computer-aided engineering (such as computer-aided 3D interactive application), Patran Nastran, engineering analysis utilizing MATLAB and finite element analysis.
