Program Overview
International Foundation Year in Law and Social Sciences
Our Law and Social Sciences programme will prepare you for a degree across a range of areas, including marketing, economics, media, sociology and entrepreneurship. Once you have successfully completed this course, you will be equipped to start an undergraduate degree, with all the English language skills and subject-specific knowledge you'll need to study at Kingston University London.
Many of the progression degrees include work placements and the opportunity to study abroad, for the same fee as a traditional degree. Combining academic study with professional experience will give you the skills and confidence you need to succeed in your chosen career.
What you'll study
During your Law and Social Sciences International Foundation Year, you will study the following modules:

- Globalisation
- Introduction to Law
- Studying Social Life
Once you have successfully completed the programme, and achieved the required grades, you will be well-equipped to start your undergraduate degree at Kingston University London.
Leading to: Financial Economics BSc (Hons)
You will have a wealth of opportunities outside the classroom to further your learning and gain hands-on experience in your chosen field. In addition, you will have free access to the Financial Times and Economist. We are also one of only a few UK universities to have a Bloomberg Trading Room for you to use.
Our diverse, inclusive and friendly department will introduce you to a variety of ways to study economics. Plus, our flexible structure means that, if you’re unsure about what exactly you want to study, you can transfer between our three courses at the end of your first year.
