Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Insights and Analytics / Bachelor of Laws

Program Overview

In the Bachelor of Commerce, you’ll study a set of extensive and integrated foundation units that will orient you to commerce and business, followed by one or two majors to develop depth and specialisation in your chosen discipline. You’ll also acquire a set of sought-after employability skills – data literacy, business analysis, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, critical thinking and a global mindset, among others – all key competencies that today’s top employers regard extremely highly.

The hallmark of Macquarie’s Bachelor of Laws is its recognition of the way legal frameworks underpin such global issues. You’ll be challenged to think critically about the law to seek innovative solutions to legal problems – skills highly valued by employers. With the option to combine your law degree with any other Macquarie bachelor degree, you can open the way to an array of careers in legal practice, private industry, government, education and community services.

Major: Marketing Insights and Analytics
In today’s competitive, globally connected and data-rich business environment, organisations increasingly rely on consumer and market insights to help spark innovation and inform strategic decisions. Insights provide deep understanding of relevant, actionable and previously unidentified market trends and consumer needs, beliefs, motivations and experiences. Marketers discover insights through the use of qualitative and quantitative methods, tools and analytic techniques grounded in advanced theoretical perspectives.

The Marketing Insights and Analytics major will equip you with the skills to help organisations gain valuable insights from market research – insights that allow them to anticipate future consumer needs, identify detrimental trends, forecast market conditions, gauge competition, make informed predictions and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
