An understanding of Chinese is a useful professional skill that can be especially valuable when combined with a wide range of disciplines, including accounting, economics, education, international communication, law, media, politics or science.

The study of Chinese at Macquarie is based on Mandarin. In the Chinese Studies major, you’ll gain an understanding of the language, as well as knowledge about the society, culture and history of China. Units are available from beginner to advanced level.
