Get ready to take your place in the future of construction. Our School for the Built Environment designed this course for candidates who want to make a start in the building industry but may not have the right entry requirements to apply directly to a three-year degree. We will help pave the way to your career in management and construction by first developing your study skills, problem-solving, and ability in applied mathematics and digital literacy. This degree also suits mature students who want to update and improve their existing knowledge and skills or who simply want an extra year of preparation.
We want you to succeed. Every aspect of this course is designed to give you an authentic learning experience by using real-life materials and scenarios. Your practical and academic programme of study will be led by a combination of leading academics and practitioners, who will help you to develop key academic skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, presentation and communication, digital literacy and application of mathematics, all within the context of the Built Environment discipline.
One of the world’s most impressive construction sites, right on your doorstep. As a student located in the heart of London, you have hundreds of cutting-edge building projects within easy reach of your campus. We make the most of these opportunities through site visits, guest lectures and fieldwork, making sure that you’re kept up to date with every development in this dynamic and pioneering sector.
Join the rest of the Construction Management cohort. After the first year of your foundation degree, you’ll join the rest of the students starting the three-year Construction Management BSc (Hons) course, ready to benefit from all the same course content and module options.
