The MSc Financial Technology (FinTech) and Business Analytics programme is specifically crafted to advance the career prospects of professionals engaged in fintech, data analysis, and business management roles.

Successful completion of this programme will enrich your comprehension of financial technology, data-driven decision-making, Artificial Intelligence applications and coding skills in today's dynamic business landscape.Our programme emphasises real world learning. All our students from the FinTech & Business Analytics programme can access real-world financial and economic datasets powered by Alpha Vantage API.

Furthermore, you will be introduced to an array of research methodologies and analytical techniques. The concluding project module will nurture your critical thinking and investigative aptitude, manifesting in the form of a dissertation, a real-world case study, or a novel business development proposal—all tailored to foster your professional interests and align with your career aspirations.

There is an option to choose a Project/Placement year for this course, at an additional cost.

The Professional Project MSc is your chance to get the experience you need to stand out to graduate employers and make a difference by solving real global business challenges and demonstrating practical application of your learning. Prepare for the future by reflecting on your experience and the enhanced skills that you have gained.

In the first year you will have help from the University to find a professional project whilst developing your expertise in the taught modules of your degree. You will then spend your second year working on a client-led project, getting the chance to work with industry professionals and building your contacts.

Students need to find and secure their own project, supported by the University. A preparation module will also help you to get ready for your project and develop your professional skills.

Please note, this programme is available as a one-year master degree programme, or as a Two-Year Master's Programme with a Professional Placement or Project. Please carefully consider your options when applying for our one year or Two-year routes as successful international applicants will not be able to change between programmes after a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) letter has been issued or after arriving in the UK.
