Program Overview

The effective marketing of an organisation’s products and services is critical to its success. Our MSc Marketing course aims to help you develop your skills, knowledge and competencies in international marketing management and planning digital marketing communications, thereby enabling you to effectively contribute to the success of the business.

Our course will help you to achieve your management aspirations by being relevant to the modern marketing-focused business. The combination of academic study with workplace application provides many opportunities to better understand how to manage and make the right marketing management decisions that impact on the organisation’s success.

Our modules have been carefully designed to provide you with relevant skills, knowledge and understanding that will enable you to perform successfully, and this course has the potential to offer you a springboard to a new career.

There is an option to choose a Project/Placement year for this course, at an additional cost.

The Professional Project MSc is your chance to get the experience you need to stand out to graduate employers and make a difference by solving real global business challenges and demonstrating practical application of your learning. Prepare for the future by reflecting on your experience and the enhanced skills that you have gained.

In the first year you will have help from the University to find a professional project whilst developing your expertise in the taught modules of your degree. You will then spend your second year working on a client-led project, getting the chance to work with industry professionals and building your contacts.

Students need to find and secure their own project, supported by the University. A preparation module will also help you to get ready for your project and develop your professional skills.

Please note, this programme is available as a one-year master degree programme, or as a Two-Year Master's Programme with a Professional Placement or Project. Please carefully consider your options when applying for our one year or Two-year routes as successful international applicants will not be able to change between programmes after a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) letter has been issued or after arriving in the UK.
