Bachelor of Law (Hons)

Program Overview

At ARU London you can take your first step to becoming a solicitor or barrister. Our LLB (Hons) Law degree will qualify you for the next stage of your legal training.

This qualifying law degree, accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board (BSB), allows you to progress to the vocational stage of training as a solicitor or barrister.

Here at ARU London, you’ll study both academic and practical aspects of the law, which not only prepare you for a legal career but will also give you many skills that are highly valued in other occupations. We encourage you to focus on your areas of interest and develop specialisms, such as family law, criminal law, and procedure and/or civil law and litigation.

As you go through our core modules, you'll be developing key knowledge of fundamental features of the UK and EU legal systems, and the context in which the law operates. All this, while engaging in critical analysis with peers, solving legal problems, and undertaking independent research, flexing your ability to construct complex legal arguments
