Master of Arts in Learning, Developmental and Family Sciences

Program Overview

Is neuroscience helping us understand the brain to inform how we support learners? How can we design learning environments to improve students’ motivation to learn and grow? How can I best facilitate learning with diverse students while utilizing developmentally and culturally appropriate practices? As a student in the concentration, you’ll explore these interesting questions.

Our graduates go on to teach and lead in K-12 schools, community colleges and universities. They also lead in community organizations. Many of our MA students are preparing for doctoral studies in educational psychology, psychology, learning sciences, human development and related fields.

The degree is part of CU Denver’s Personalized Professional Master’s Degree™. Join an innovative program that provides courses to deepen your expertise in the field of learning. At the same time, this Personalized Professional Master’s Degree allows you to customize your curriculum by selecting from courses outside of the main area of focus according to your own needs and interests. Please discuss your course options with your faculty advisor.
