Program Overview

The goal of the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program is to develop cybersecurity professionals who have a strong foundation of technical knowledge in computer security, network security, and information security. Our program builds the knowledge and skills of security professionals to effectively protect the safety of our communities, companies, and the nation.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students who complete the Master of Science in Cybersecurity will:

  • Evaluate theories, principles, and best practices related to the evolving global cybersecurity landscape by assessing and reviewing recent strategies.
  • Demonstrate the scholastic mastery to develop research topics and projects based on underlying cybersecurity principles learned throughout the program.
  • Recommend appropriate cybersecurity theories and frameworks to stakeholders to evaluate, mitigate, and manage ongoing risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in contexts of uncertainty.
  • Analyze data using accepted best practices for the purpose of synthesizing an effective and ethical cybersecurity solution.
