Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science with a major in Social Science (without Teacher's Certification) is an interdisciplinary major in which a student can choose courses from 9 social science departments across the university: Anthropology, Economics, Geography (Human Geography Only), History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work. Students choose a primary field of interest that will guide their coursework in conjunction with two or more secondary fields. Since this major is flexible, students can gear courses toward the direction of their potential career. Our Social Science majors go into a wide variety of careers, including jobs in education, government, non-profits, human resources, helping professions, and museum employees, just to name a few!
