Program Overview

Interested in exploring the economic underpinnings of financial markets, investments and corporate finance? Then this program is for you. The Financial and Business Economics program combines a rigorous quantitative and analytical approach with practical applications tailored for students passionate about pursuing careers in the financial sector or pursuing graduate studies in finance or financial economics. You will gain a deep understanding of the financial sector and build your skills in monetary economics, banking, finance and financial data analysis. 

What you’ll learn

  • Acquire an in-depth theoretical knowledge of the microeconomic principles underlying financial markets and instruments, as well as the macroeconomic role of finance.
  • Build a strong mathematical foundation and proficiency in econometric methods employed in the analysis of financial data.
  • Develop the ability to apply core theories and empirical tools to analyze complex problems in financial economics.
  • Acquire proficiency in constructing and analyzing financial models to forecast trends, evaluate investments and assess financial risk in various economic scenarios.
