Program Overview
Integrated Year One (IYO) offers direct admission into your first year of undergraduate studies at York’s Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, Faculty of Science or Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change*. Integrated Year One (IYO) is not a pathway program—it’s your opportunity to earn up to 24 university credits while building the advanced English skills you need to thrive in an academic setting.
If you meet the academic entry requirements of one of the participating faculties, IYO is your opportunity to step directly into your first year of university life, study alongside other undergraduate students, and gain the academic and language support to help you succeed.
For the Fall 2026 intake, applicants to the three specified undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS) may be eligible to enroll in the Integrated Year One (IYO) if they have an academic IELTS score of 5.5 (or an equivalent qualification). Please note that this option is exclusively available for these programs, and no other undergraduate programs are eligible for the IYO.

Student Visa For Canada
