Program Overview

The Diploma in Digital Visual Effects is a two year long undergraduate certificate program at Capilano University, School of Motion Picture Arts. The students of this program are trained and educated to design visual effects for films and television. With faculty members from high-end film, broadcast and software companies, Capilano University has excellent staff members who guide and advise the student at every step of the way during the course. 

The students of the Visual Effects diploma are required to work in collaboration with professionals from numerous other fields such as film, documentary, animation, costuming and cinematography programs for an even richer experience. During the second year of the program students are required to take an apprenticeship or internship in a professional working environment such as a studio where he/she shall be guided, observed and mentored by a professional providing them a chance to build up a network and gain experience.
