DEP - Welding and Fitting

Program Overview

Whether they are perched at the top of a building or in the middle of the ocean on a drilling platform, welders are always in demand. If you are one of those people who appreciate complex and physically demanding manual tasks, our intensive one-year program will prepare you for a challenging career as a certified welder.

Better wages and greater job security: these are the advantages of working in the metallurgy field. Our courses will allow you to practice the different welding principles and you will develop your technique for semi-automatic and manual devices as well as for traditional electric arc equipment.
Overview of the welding-assembly DEP (5695):

  • Metal cutting
  • Welding metallurgy
  • Cutting and shaping of metals
  • Tracing of sketches and drawings
  • Electric arc welding (SMAW)
  • Semi-automatic welding (MIG)
  • GTAW (TIG) welding
  • (Detailed syllabus available under the "content" tab)

Attention: Please note that you will start welding on the fourth day of class! So if you like hands-on lessons, the welding-assembly DEP is for you!
