Master of Engineering Management - Product Design and Development Track (STEM)

Program Overview

Illinois Tech’s Master of Engineering Management program allows new engineering graduates to explore the possibilities offered by advancing technology through strategic business practices. This program is also recommended for seasoned employees seeking to gain a second skillset for their engineering portfolio.

Our Master of Engineering Management program features two specialty tracks—Project Management or Product Design and Development. Both tracks will provide students with an accelerated pathway to management positions within engineering-based industries and will enable students to make decisions at site, company, industrial, and sector levels.

In the product design and development track, students will learn to translate ideas into practical design and mass production of innovative and cost-effective products. Gain in-depth knowledge of engineering design and new product manufacturing skills necessary for success in an engineering research and development environment.

Coursework includes topics in renewable energy technologies, product design and innovation, and computer integrated manufacturing technologies.
