Program Overview

University Foundation in Accounting and Finance Stage1 at International College Portsmouth (ICP) at University of Portsmouth is designed to prepare you for entry to university-level program. During Stage 1 you will complete a range of modules relevant to your chosen degree, as well as modules concentrating on the skills that are vital for University level education such as Critical Thinking.

A Foundation pathway is available for students who:

Progressing from Foundation
Stage 1 will be the first stage in the 4 stage process. Meaning that on successful completion of stage 1 you will seamlessly progress to stage 2, which is the first year of a bachelor’s degree. There is no need to reapply, you will simply just progress between each stage until you reach the final stage and graduate with a degree from International College Portsmouth (ICP) at University of Portsmouth.

Accountancy and Financial Management

This two-year top-up degree course allows you to build on your previous higher education studies to gain a full BA (Hons) degree in Accountancy and Financial Management. You must have 120 first-year higher education credits in accountancy to apply for this course.

This degree focuses on modern accountancy skills. You'll learn to understand, visualise and present financial data to inform and persuade businesses to make the right financial decisions. You'll work in small groups that replicate the workplace, with a focus on teamwork, real world case studies and developing strategy from financial data.
