Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management / Bachelor of Laws

Program Overview

Combining business and law will give you an edge in the legal field and in any organisation. Whether you’re pursuing a career in business or law, both disciplines will give you an advantage, opening up a range of career opportunities beyond the courtroom and boardroom.

In the Bachelor of Business, you will gain practical, real-world experience and make professional connections. You will develop core skills across all business functions, as you build specialist knowledge in a chosen field to excel in today's dynamic and complex business environment.

The Bachelor of Laws equips you with a comprehensive legal education. This world-class degree provides you with a thorough grounding in the law, the social and ethical context in which law operates, while equipping you with essential practical skills including an internship and integrated skills program.

A double degree at UOW provides a world-class qualification in less time and at less cost than studying the two degrees separately. Having a double degree will give you a competitive advantage in a crowded job market.

Major: Human Resource Management
People are an organisations most valuable resource. The Human Resource Management (HRM) major focuses on the people side of organisations. It is relevant to students wishing to pursue a professional career in HRM, as well as to those students who see people management as a necessary part of their future skills portfolio.

Specific focus is placed on the facilitating, acquisition and development of staff, positively influencing their employment performance, and monitoring and managing the processes of staff retention and turnover. It also looks at the surrounding aspects of human resource management such as recruitment and selection, performance appraisal, job analysis and design, and training and development.
