Post-Graduate Diploma in Agriculture Finance

Program Overview

This two-year postgraduate diploma program provides degree graduates with an applied understanding of financial services, with a strong focus on the unique needs of agricultural businesses.
You will gain specialized expertise in:

  •     agribusiness consulting
  •     agricultural finance
  •     farm taxation insurance
  •     investment strategies
  •     lending and credit analysis
  •     risk management

Through applied learning activities, such as case studies, financial simulations, and role-playing exercises, you’ll develop the skills to analyze farm financial statements, assess credit risk and provide strategic financial guidance to clients.

Coursework will prepare you to write the Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) compliance exams, which provide graduates with the required credentials to work in a variety of jobs in financial services. You will also develop critical human skills such as client relationship management, financial needs analysis and professional networking.

While this program focuses on agriculture financial services, the knowledge and skills gained also prepares you for careers in banking, lending, financial advising, and investment services across various sectors.
